The 5 Terre are 5 tiny fishing villages located in the north of Tuscany, in the Ligurian territory. They have the colorful houses typical of fishermen, a jagged and picturesque coast and a sea breeze that constantly caresses it.
We will leave by minivan with driver from Florence or from the place where you are and we will reach the first of the 5 Terre, Riomaggiore.
It is a pastel colored village, whose houses follow the course of the stream. After meeting the guide we will proceed towards the top of the village, where the church and the castle are located. We will stop for a coffee and to taste the typical focaccia of the 5 lands and continue towards the port to take the boat to Vernazza, where we will arrive in 30 minutes.
Vernazza is an enchanting town, full of oratories, sanctuaries, Genoese military fortifications and a castle that belonged to the powerful Genoese family of the Dorias.
From Vernazza we will take the boat to Monterosso, the largest town full of life.
In the historic "caruggi", typical medieval alleys of Liguria, there are many restaurants, wine bars, souvenir shops. At this point we decide: shall we go immediately to dive into the crystal clear waters of Monterosso or shall we go first for lunch? It depends on your appetite. Definitely better to take a nice bath first, then go to an excellent typical restaurant to eat the famous trofie with pesto washed down with wine from the 5 Terre, a delight!
