Tours / At Leonardo's Home Village in the Tuscan Countryside

Leonardo was born in Anchiano, a small village near Vinci, on April 15th, 1452 and his name brought the village fame in every area of the planet!

He is considered a polymath of the Renaissance whose areas of interest included invention, drawing, painting, sculpture, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, literature, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany, and cartography. He is considered by many to be the father of paleontology and architecture and is widely considered to be one of the greatest painters of all time (although perhaps only 15 of his paintings have survived).
Leonardo trained in the studio of the famous Italian painter Andrea del Verrocchio and a good part of his working life was spent in the service of Ludovico il Moro in Milan.

Leonardo is mainly famous as a painter. The Mona Lisa is the most famous of his works and the most popular portrait ever made. The Last Supper is the most reproduced religious painting of all time and even his design as a Vitruvian man is considered a cultural icon. Salvator Mundi was sold for a world record of $ 450.3 million at a Christie's auction in New York in 2017, the highest price ever paid for a work of art.
Although he did not have a formal academic background, many historians and scholars consider Leonardo to be the first example of "universal genius" or "Renaissance man" and is revered for his technological ingenuity.

Starting from Florence with a private minivan, we will visit the house in which the great genius was born- as the illegitimate son of a wealthy family. We will also visit the village of Vinci and the museum dedicated to Leonardo that holds his inventions, his drawings and his writings.

WE WILL ADMIRE THE LANDSCAPES OF THE MONA LISA, DELIGHTING OUR PALATE WITH WINES AND FLAVORS OF THE LEONARDIAN TERRITORY.

Those who love walking can walk the three kilometers of forest path that separate Leonardo's Birthplace from the town of Vinci. Who wants to save energy will have our driver available!
