Tours / Cinque Terre Tour from Florence for Groups

Start e journey with us from Florence and experience a fantastic day dedicated to the discovery of the small and amazing villages of the Cinque Terre suspended between sea and land

Cinque Terre is a beautiful coastal area in Liguria, Italy, that is easily accessible from Florence and at least once in a lifetime is worth visiting. The Cinque Terre National Park includes five (the name Cinque Terre means "Five Lands" in Italian) picturesque small villages perched on the Mediterranean coast: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso, with the cultivated hills behind them and the sea that shatters on the rocky beaches in front. Each of these villages has its own unique charm and character, with colorful houses overlooking the sea, winding streets, and bustling town squares.

The area is known for its stunning natural beauty, including scenic hiking trails that offer breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding hillsides.

We will start our 'Cinque Terre Tour from Florence for Small Groups' from the first "Terra", the one that in ancient times came called Vernazza, a village that stands on a small promontory on the sea surrounded by steep, terraced hillsides covered in vineyards and olive groves, considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Vernazza is also known for its seafood, which is caught fresh from the Ligurian Sea. Other popular attractions in the village are the 16th-century Belforte Tower, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding area, and the 13th century Santa Margherita di Antiochia Church. We'll get in this characteristic small town thanks to a local train that will leave from city of La Spezia from which you can admire the breathtaking views that only this land can give!

Our second stop will be Monterosso the most populous village in the Cinque Terre, of ancient origins and located in the center of a small natural gulf, it is known for its long, sandy beaches and beautiful promenade along the seafront. The old town of Monterosso is separated from the new town by a rocky outcrop, and is home to many historic buildings, including the 17th-century Aurora Tower and the Gothic-style Church of San Giovanni Battista. You will be fascinated by the lush vegetation that surrounds it and you will also have time to visit the enchanting beaches of this village, diving into it in the crystal clear sea that bathes it. You can also taste, if you wish, a typical Ligurian lunch, included in the your tour!

At the end of the day, the local train will take you to Manarola, famous for its brightly painted colorful tower houses and for the buildings that face one another on the main street. From there, you’ll walk the superb and world famous "Via dell’Amore", a path of just over a kilometer declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Other popular attractions in Manarola include the Church of San Lorenzo, which dates back to the 14th century, and the local wineries that produce the region's famous Sciacchetrà wine.

The final destination will be Riomaggiore, the easternmost of the Cinque Terre, where particular Genoese tower houses follow the steep course of the Rio Maggiore stream, from which the village takes its name. It is a colorful and vibrant village, known for its charming streets, picturesque harbor, and stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. Popular attractions in Riomaggiore include the Church of San Giovanni Battista of the 14th century, and the local wine shops where you can taste the famous Sciacchetrà wine.

The tour will end in La Spezia where a bus will take you back to Florence.
