1) The Renaissance Dome of the Cathedral of Florence, built by the architect and engineer Filippo Brunelleschi starting in 1420 and commissioned and financed by Cosimo Il Vecchio de’ Medici. At 118 meters high, it is the tallest building in the old city

2) The Gothic Bell Tower of the Cathedral, designed by the architect and painter Giotto in 1334. The bell tower is 87 meters high and to reach its top you need to “climb” 414 steps

3) The Tower of Arnolfo, also known as the Tower of Palazzo Vecchio. It was a tower that existed before the construction of the palace by Arnolfo di Cambio in 1299. It was the tower house of the Ghibelline Foraboschi family, who, together with the Uberti, lived in the tower houses in the square. When the Palazzo dei Priori, later renamed Palazzo Vecchio, was designed, it was decided to destroy the tower houses in the square, but the Foraboschi tower was saved and incorporated into the construction of the palace. Today the tower still stands out over the city with its 94 meters of height.
