Tours / Learn Tuscan Cooking and Dine with the Florentine Countess

Costanza is a Florentine lady who resides in a cottage built in 1600 with her husband Giambruno and her 10 year old daughter Sofia.

She is an excellent hostess and cooks wonderfully. Together with her, you will learn to prepare some typical Tuscan dishes that are part of the culinary tradition of our beautiful region.

Below are some of her favorite recipes of which she will give you all the tips and tricks:

  • Pappa al pomodoro - typical dish originally prepared by Tuscan farmers. It is prepared using stale bread and tomato sauce as main ingredients;
  • Spelled soup - typical Tuscan dish that is eaten mainly in winter. This has its origins dating far back in Tuscan history and is added to a vegetable soup and accompanied with bread.
  • Filicudara twine - spaghetti with a very tasty sauce typical of the Aeolian islands, precisely Filicudi. Costanza loves this recipe and they do it very well!
  • Arista with milk or simply baked
  • Salad from the garden of Constance, with seasonal products directly from the countess' garden;
  • Castagnaccio: typical Tuscan dessert made with chestnut flour and accompanied with ricotta

We will arrive at the house of Costanza at 18.00 - depart from the center of Florence at 17.40 by taxi - cooking class, preparing dinner while drinking an excellent aperitif.

At the end of the lesson we will taste the delicious food prepared with Costanza, accompanied by an unmissable wine from the farmer of the home!
