We will admire the houses carved into the rock, which date back to more than 9,000 years ago, and we will discover how the local population lived for centuries, exactly until 1952. In that year the rocks were closed for public hygiene reasons and the local population was forced to live in homes compliant with the new urban planning laws.
Obviously we will not miss the Rock Church of San Pietro Barisano, built inside a cave, which preserves medieval frescoes and decorations.

We will also visit the Rock Church of Santa Lucia alle Malve, a masterpiece of medieval rock art.
