Tours / Pisa and Lucca Group Tour with Buccellato Tasting

Our group tour will start from Florence. First stop Pisa, the city that is famous worldwide for its Leaning tower and its beautiful architecture!

Having arrived in Pisa, one of the major cities of Tuscany that stands on the banks of the Arno, our licensed guide will lead you to Miracles Square, explaining the wonders of this enchanted place: the Cathedral (interior),the Baptistery, the Tower (exterior) and other importants monuments.

It is so defined because it includes all the places where the most significant moments of religious life are celebrated: in the baptistery life begins, the Duomo is the place where the religious life of the citizens of Pisa takes place and finally the Camposanto welcomes the end of earthly life.

The bell tower in Piazza di Miracoli is famous all over the world as the Leaning Tower and it is the symbol of the city of Pisa.

The construction works, which began in 1173, were interrupted due to the subsidence of the land (to which the inclination is due). They were then resumed in the second half of the 1200s and completed in the second half of the fourteenth century. Galileo Galilei carried out experiments on gravity from the top of the tower, which can be reached via 294 steps.

At the end of the visit you will have free time to relax, take photos, or visit some museums of your interest. Lunch in a Typical Trattoria. Departure to Lucca.
The historic center of Lucca has kept its medieval aspect intact, thanks to the fine architecture, the ancient and numerous churches (Lucca is also called the city of 100 churches), the many towers, bell towers and monumental Renaissance buildings.

In Lucca, you'll have free time for a pleasant walk in the medieval centre, where you will admire the Anfiteatro square, the Guinigi Tower, the S. Martin Cathedral, and the typical antique dealers street.

The visit to Lucca will end in a local pastry shop, where you’ll taste the buccellato, typical cake of Lucca.

It is a kind of sweet bread made of raisins and anice seeds that was so much loved by Princess Diana of England

In Lucca, the buccellato cake is typically made with a mixture of flour, sugar, butter, and olive oil, which gives the cake a slightly different flavor and texture, is a popular sweet treat in Tuscany and is often enjoyed with a cup of coffee or tea.
