Vatican Museums Group Tour: Sistine Chapels (3 hours)

Our tour takes us to the Vatican Museums, that is, inside the most famous museum in the world. The Vatican Museums are part of the complex of St. Peter's Basilica.

They were created by Pope Julius II in the 16th century to house the immense collection accumulated over the centuries by the popes. Through the unimaginable artistic wonders that they offer us, such as the sculptural group of Laocoonte and the Papal Rooms frescoed by Raphael, you enter the spectacular Sistine Chapel, a unique place in the world that brings to mind only one and unequivocal name: Michelangelo, the genius of the Renaissance. The atmosphere of the Sistine Chapel will take your heart and soul, maybe you will cry a little for the emotion, it will do you good.

It was built at the end of the 1400s during the papacy of Pope Sixtus IV, from which it took its name, and the frescoes on the walls are signed by names such as Botticelli, Perugino, Pinturicchio, Ghirlandaio and others.
St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican is the first Christian church in the world, founded by the Apostle Peter. The basilica is famous for its dome and its mosaics and houses the tombs of the popes.

Designed by Donato Bramante in the early 1500s, today it is one of the symbols of Rome, for unmistakable beauty and majesty.
THE MOST RELEVANT WORK AMONG THE WONDERS OF SAN PIETRO IS MICHELANGELO'S PIETY.

The masterpiece was sculpted by the master at the age of 23 and today represents an obligatory stage in the visit of the Vatican.
