Join our group tour and spend a magical day, made even more delightful by a traditional Tuscan lunch.
It is one of the most beautiful monumental complexes in the world. Here you will admire the Baptistery, the Cathedral and, of course, the famous Leaning Tower. Lunch will be held in a wine bar or restaurant, where we will enjoy tasting renowned local wines.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the most famous attraction in the square, known for its tilted position. The tower was built as a bell tower for the adjacent cathedral, but due to the soft ground and poor foundation, it began to lean during its construction in the 12th century. Today, visitors can climb the tower to enjoy panoramic views of the city.
The Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta is a stunning example of Romanesque architecture, featuring marble facades and intricate artwork. The interior of the cathedral houses a pulpit by Giovanni Pisano, as well as a beautiful mosaic floor.
The Baptistry of St. John is a circular building that dates back to the 12th century. It is known for its unique acoustics, which are demonstrated by the local tour guides who sing inside the building to showcase the echoes.
After lunch, the wonders continue with a visit to San Gimignano, the splendid Medieval town declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then, following the panoramic roads of the Chianti region, we will get to Siena, the city of the Palio.
San Gimignano is a charming medieval hilltop town in Tuscany known for its well-preserved towers and picturesque countryside. In San Gimignano the visitor immerses himself completely in the atmosphere of a medieval village of the fourteenth century, whose appearance, in fact, has remained almost unchanged. The city still represents an admirable example of urban organization of the municipal age both at Italian and European level.
Siena, a must-visit destination for tourists from all over the world, is a magnificent city of art with characteristic alleys, districts, towers, craft workshops and palaces. Also Siena has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage list for its artistic uniqueness.
In Siena our official guides, one in English one in Spanish, one in French, and one in Russian, will take you on a tour of the city, highlighting important monuments, palazzos and piazzas, including Piazza del Campo (the heart of the city and one of the most beautiful squares in Italy, where the Palio di Siena horse race is run), and Piazza del Duomo, where we will see both the exterior of the magnificent Cathedral, a stunning Gothic building that dates back to the 13th century known for its black and white striped marble exterior, and its intricate interior features works by famous artists such as Donatello, Michelangelo, and Pinturicchio.
