The Boboli Gardens are among the famous in Italy, and were born between the sixteenth and nineteenth centuries under the will of the Medici family. It's Italian garden style become a model for many European courts.

They are a real open-air museum, where nature, art, science and alchemy meet, and house sculptures ranging from ancient Rome to the twentieth century, as well as ponds of water lilies, fountains and historic buildings. The architect of the gardens was Niccolò Tribolo, who had already worked years before on the gardens of the Medici Villa in Castello. The shape of the garden seems to resemble that of an elongated trinagolo, with two perpendicular axes that intersect at the Fountain of Neptune, from which you can enjoy an incredible view over the city of Florence. The beauty and prestige of this garden is such that it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in June 2013.
